10 Month Old Female, DSH Color:  Black Beebe is a very unique cat.  She was found with an injury to her spine, and it took quite some time and skill from our vet to help her heal.  One of her hind legs is a bit stiff as a result of the injury.  She will need to be an indoor cat as she would not be able to get away from a "sticky situation" as fast as would be necessary.   She was also semi-feral when she was found and has made wonderful progress here at the shelter.  She still has a few kitty manners to learn, but she is a very lovable girl with a great personality. * ADOPTION PENDING *	1 Year Old Female, DMH Color:  Dilute Tortie Lady MacBeth is a very sweet and affectionate girl.  She loves to cuddle and give kitty kisses.  Lady MacBeth is not very fond of sharing the attention with other cats.  Although she may tolerate another cat, she would be happiest as the only cat in the house.  She is outgoing with people and very friendly.
5 and 1/2 Year Old Female, DSH Color: Tabby/White   Shortcake is a sweet and adorable little girl! She came to us with a very large growth on her abdomen. Thankfully, it was removed and she is doing great! Shortcake loves to be petted as she tells you about her day. She is OK with other cats, but prefers that they keep their distance! Shortcake does have some other health issues and is a special needs cat. Please call the shelter for more information.	2 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Dilute Tortie Zora is a special girl who came to us very shy and afraid.  It has taken time for her to trust the staff here.  Once she develops trust in you, which may take some time, Zora loves to be petted and does not mind being gently held.  She loves to chit chat.  Zora will need to be an indoor cat  in a calm and patient home.  She is OK with other cats and children over 6 years of age. Zora is shy around dogs, but we think she would do fine with a gentle dog. Given time and patience, this little girl is going to be a wonderful companion.
9 Month Old Female, DMH Color:  Tabby/White Anika is a very shy girl who will need a patient person to help her adjust to a new home.  Once she gains your trust, Anika is a very affectionate girl who loves being petted.  Sometimes, she will even grace you with some kitty kisses!  She is OK with other cats and seems to be more comfortable with women.  Anika will need an indoor only home.  If you would like more information about her, please call the shelter and ask for Faith.	5 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  Brown Tabby Pete is the sweetest cat you will ever meet!  He is FIV+ and needs to be an indoor only cat.  Under the right conditions, Pete could live with another cat.  He loves people and attention.  Pete is a very loyal friend, who will follow you all around the house!  He likes being held and sitting in laps.  He has a strong spirit and has made it through some tough times.  For more information or if you have questions about Pete, please call the shelter.
9 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  Black Coal came to us very scared and angry.  It was quite sometime before the staff could even touch Coal.  After trying very hard to help Coal trust us, he finally allowed the staff to pet him.  He is now in our indoor/outdoor cat room and is making progress everyday.  He approaches people for attention, and really is a great cat.  Coal would rather be the only pet in the house.  He is declawed and needs to be an indoor only cat.	1 Year old Female, DSH Color:  Black/white Raven is a very gentle and sweet girl.  She can be a little shy until she gets to know a person.  Raven is fine with other cats and loves to get cat treats.  She enjoys being petted and will sit in the laps of those she trusts.  Indoor only is best for Raven, as well as calm children.
1 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Orange/White Twinkie is a sweet and gentle cat who loves attention.  She enjoys being petted and if you would like to give her some kitty treats, she likes any flavor!  We think Twinkie would do fine with calm children and may not mind a gentle dog. Her personality is very mellow and she would make a wonderful companion for an elderly person as well.	4 Year Old Female, DLH Color:  Black Siobhan is a temperamental kind of girl.  She prefers to be the only kitty getting your attention.  Siobhan would do best as the only pet.  She likes children very much - especially girls.  Siobhan enjoys being petted once she gets to know you.  She is used to being an indoor only cat.
3 and 1/2 Year Old Female DSH Color: Tabby/White   Geneva is a very gentle girl. She can be a little timid until she gets to know you.  Geneva enjoys being petted. She is good with other cats.  Geneva would do best in a gentle home with older children. She needs to be an indoor cat because of her timid nature.  Geneva has some special needs. Please call the shelter for more information.	9 Year Old Female DMH Color: Dilute Tortie/ Front Declawed                                            Marilyn is a girl who likes to be in charge. Although she is declawed, she has been an outdoor cat in the past. She likes attention on her own terms. She enjoys being "The Queen," and would like to be the only pet in the house. An adult home would be best for Marilyn. She is a great mouser!
2 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Tabby/White Muffin is a cute little girl who loves to talk.  She likes spending time by herself - sleeping in her kitty bed, or any other hide-away she can find.  Muffin enjoys being petted and can occasionally give a little "love nip."  She is a friendly girl who would make a great companion.	15 1/2 Year Old Male DSH Color: White/Gray   Maxwell is a mellow boy. He is calm and friendly as long as there are no dogs around! Max is good with children ages 6 and older. He is OK with most other cats. Max is a special needs boy who has diabetes. It is very well controlled on a special diet.   He does not need medication.  He is looking for a calm and patient home. It is best for Max to be and indoor cat.
6 Year Old Female DSH Color: Black/White   Jamie is a sweet girl. She is timid when she first meets people and a bit temperamental too! Jamie likes being petted. She needs to be an indoor cat, in a quiet home. Jamie will need a patient family to help her adjust and feel safe in a new home - she is well worth the time and effort this will require!	1 and 1/2 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  Black w/white on chest Barrel is a very sweet boy who loves attention.  He is very gentle and likes other cats.  Barrel is playful and occasionally makes an "escape" from the cat room.  He is on a special diet and should be an indoor only cat.
1 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Deep Gray Mistletoe is a very lucky lady.  She was brought to the shelter on Christmas Eve, and was not in the best of shape.  After a stay at our veterinarian's office, and a close call, Christmas prayers brought Mistletoe through a tough time.  She is indeed, a Christmas miracle.  Our vet had found that Mistletoe was infested with lung worm.  She received treatment for this and is much better.  She does have some scarring in her lungs, and will need to be an indoor cat.  Her stamina will not be that of the average cat, and her home needs to be strictly non-smoking.  She is a very sweet girl and loves attention.  Being the boss of the other cats is what she likes most, so she may do best as the only cat.  She will need a calm household.  If you have further questions about Mistletoe, please call the shelter and ask for Faith.	13 Year Old Female, DSH Color: Black/white   Ms. Bandit is a special kind of girl! She tends to pick who she is going to like, and who just will not pass her high standards! If Ms. Bandit decides that you are one of those special people, she is very sweet and enjoys being petted. Despite her age, Ms. Bandit also likes to play! She is a very unique girl with, let's just say, an "entertaining" personality!
3 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Dilute Tortie Sierra Madre is a very affectionate girl.  She loves being petted.  Although Sierra will "tolerate" other cats, she would prefer to be the only cat in the house.  Those of you who have experience with torties understand that they are unique cats, with a need to be the boss!  Sierra is a smart girl who enjoys people.	5 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  White/Black Christopher is a great boy.  He is very outgoing and loves to be petted - especially on his belly!  He is fine with other cats and would be good with children.  Christopher is a curious cat and loves to explore.  He is on a special allergy diet  and needs to be an indoor cat.  A screened in porch would be great for him, as he does enjoy relaxing and napping.
6 Month Old Male, DSH Color:  Brown Tabby/White Ricardo is a little on the shy side.  He is very gentle and sweet.  Ricardo likes other cats and loves to play.  He came to the shelter with his brother, Ricky.  Ricardo would be fine with calm children and needs to be an indoor cat.	6 Month Old Male, DSH Color:  White/Black Ricky is a very gentle and sweet boy.  He will need a person with patience since he is very shy.  When Ricky feels safe with someone, he loves to chat and be petted.  It is even OK to pick him up.  Ricky is fine with other cats and would do best with calm children.  Due to his shy nature and his age, Ricky needs to be an indoor cat.
1 Year Old Female, DSH Color:  Gray Tabby/White Truffle is a very sweet cat.  She is a big girl, and has been dieting lately.  Truffle is blind, seeing only shadows and some movement.  She gets around very well and the staff did not even realize she was blind until her first vet visit.  Truffle likes to be petted and is very good with other cats.  She would be OK with a very calm and gentle dog (she is startled easily since she can't see).  Truffle needs to be an indoor only cat, in a calm home.	8 Year Old Female, DMH Color:  Black/Brown Lucky Star is a gentle lady who is very reserved.  She likes to simply relax and enjoy her kitty bed.  Lucky Star is OK with other cats. She likes to talk and loves being petted. Calm children would be best for her as well as an indoor only home.  * ADOPTION PENDING *
11 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  Brown Tabby Vincent came to us with his brother, Jules.  They are a pair who have been together since they were born and need to find a family who would like to take both of them home.  Vincent is a smart boy and it takes him a little while to relax in a new environment.  He has to check things out, and voice his opinions before he can determine whether the environment is a safe one!  He is an affectionate cat when he gets to know a person and enjoys being petted and held.  Vincent would love a screened porch.  Like his brother, he is declawed and needs to be an indoor only cat.	11 Year Old Male, DSH Color:  Black Jules is a very gentle boy who came to us with his brother, Vincent.  These boys have been together since they were born, and need to find a home together.  Jules is the quieter of the two, and more relaxed about things.  He kind of lets Vincent do the talking!  Jules is a healthy senior cat and would love a home with a screened porch.  Jules, like his brother, is declawed and needs to be an indoor only cat.
