Wasabi a very sweet girl. She enjoys being petted and is very social. Wasabi is OK with other cats and would be fine with calm children. She is very playful for her age and has been an indoor cat all of her life.

2 Year Old Male, DSH

Color: White/Tabby

Chasm is a great cat who loves people (and other cats are OK too). He loves to have his belly rubbed and he will sit in your lap for hours. Chasm is FIV+ and needs to be an indoor only cat. He would love a screened in porch if you have one! Chasm can live with another cat if it is under the right circumstances. If you have questions about Chasm and/or the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, please call the shelter and ask for Faith.

6 Year Old Male, DSH

Color: White/Black

Christopher is a great boy. He is very outgoing and loves to be petted - especially on his belly! He is fine with other cats and would be good with children. Christopher is a curious cat and loves to explore. He is on a special allergy diet and needs to be an indoor cat. A screened in porch would be great for him, as he does enjoy relaxing and napping.

3 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Dilute Tortie

Zora is a special girl who came to us very shy and afraid. It has taken time for her to trust the staff here. Once she develops trust in you, which may take some time, Zora loves to be petted and does not mind being gently held. She loves to chit chat. Zora will need to be an indoor cat in a calm and patient home. She is OK with other cats and children over 6 years of age. Zora is shy around dogs, but we think she would do fine with a gentle dog. Given time and patience, this little girl will be a wonderful companion.

2 Year Old Female, DMH

Color: Tabby/White

Anika is a very shy girl who will need a patient person to help her adjust to a new home. Once she gains your trust, Anika is a very affectionate girl who loves being petted. Sometimes, she will even grace you with some kitty kisses! She is OK with other cats and seems to be more comfortable with women. Anika will need an indoor only home. 4 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: White/Gray

April is a very independent girl who would probably do best as the only pet. She loves being petted and will occasionally give a "love nip." She is very curious and playful. April can be a little shy at first, but once she develops trust in a person, she enjoys being the center of attention. April has always been an indoor only girl.

14 Year Old Male, DSH

Color: Orange Tabby

Garfield is a great boy who is very laid back and relaxed. He likes to be petted and held. Garfield is OK with other cats and gentle dogs. He does have some mild health issues at this time, but is doing very well. He loves pasta, lasagna, and just about anything else you are eating! Garfield is an indoor only cat.

3 Year Old Male, DSH

Rick is a very sweet cat. He can be shy at first, but once he decides he trusts you, he loves being petted. Rick is a bit overwhelmed by a lot of other cats, so one other cat would be OK for him. When he is being petted, he may give a little "love nip" now and then, so older children are best. Rick has a shy nature and should be an indoor only cat.

Sammie is a very smart boy with an outgoing personality! He likes people and prefers being the only pet. He is a very curious boy and has his own opinion about everything! Sammie is a unique cat and can be quite entertaining at times. He came to us declawed and needs to be indoors, however, he would LOVE a screened in porch. Sammie previously lived with an older woman, and he would make a good companion for a single lady.







16 Year Old Male DSH

Color: White/Gray

Maxwell is a mellow boy. He is calm and friendly as long as there are no dogs around! Max is good with children ages 6 and older. He is OK with most other cats. Max is a special needs boy who has diabetes. It is very well controlled on a special diet. He does not need medication. He is looking for a calm and patient home. It is best for Max to be and indoor cat.

8 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Black

Harriet is a very sweet and gentle cat who likes people. She does not mind the other cats here at the shelter. However, dogs are a bit scary for her. Harriet suffered a pelvic injury as a kitten when she was hit by a car, and needs her back end cleaned daily. She does not mind being cleaned, and it only takes a minute or two. Harriet uses her litter box faithfully. She is extraordinarily smart and we all adore her more than words can say. Because of her past injury, Harriet is an indoor only cat who needs to be loved and spoiled .

11 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Gray Tabby/White

Baby is a sweet and affectionate cat. She loves attention, treats, and being held. Baby needs a non-smoking, indoor home. She is fine with other cats and would probably be OK with a very gentle dog. Baby likes to talk at times and enjoys relaxing in her kitty tree. She would make a wonderful companion.

13 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Calico

Molly is a sweet, chatty girl, who runs to greet the visitors coming into the cat room. She is great with children and other cats. Molly loves to be petted and brushed. She is very smart and likes to follow you where ever you are going. Molly has always been an indoor only cat. She is waiting to greet you - so please come and visit her!

6 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Calico

Sunflower is a bit reserved. She likes to be the only cat in the house. Once she gets to know a person, she enjoys being petted. Older children would be best for her. She does tolerate other cats, but would do best as the only "queen" in the castle.

2 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Gray Tabby/White

Truffle is a very sweet cat. She is a big girl, and has been dieting lately. Truffle is blind, seeing only shadows and some movement. She gets around very well and the staff did not even realize she was blind until her first vet visit. Truffle likes to be petted and is very good with other cats. She would be OK with a very calm and gentle dog (she is startled easily since she can't see). Truffle needs to be an indoor only cat, in a calm home.

9 Year Old Female, DMH

Lucky Star is a gentle lady who is very reserved. She likes to simply relax and enjoy her kitty bed. Lucky Star is OK with other cats. She likes to talk and loves being petted. Calm children would be best for her as well as an indoor only home.

Spider Monkey is a very sweet boy who enjoys being petted and brushed. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe with a person, he really is a very affectionate cat. Spider Monkey is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and therefore needs to be an indoor only cat. He is a very gentle soul who is OK with other cats and children.

14 Year Old Female, DSH

Color: Black/white

Ms. Bandit is a special kind of girl! She tends to pick who she is going to like, and who just will not pass her high standards! If Ms. Bandit decides that you are one of those special people, she is very sweet and enjoys being petted. Despite her age, Ms. Bandit also likes to play! She is a very unique girl with, let's just say, an "entertaining" personality!

Ozzie is a big cat who enjoys being petted. He has been with his brother, Sambucca for most of his life and we need to keep them together. Ozzie is OK with other cats after he has had some time to adjust. He does give "love bites" to let you know when he has had enough attention. He is a little more reserved than his brother, Sambucca.

Ozzie is declawed and needs to be indoor only.

Sambucca is a big, handsome love bug. He loves to be petted and brushed, will climb in your lap for attention and sit there for hours. Sambucca came to the shelter with his brother, Ozzie and they need to go home together. He is declawed and good with children as well as other cats. Sambucca is indoor only.

Yukon is a big cat with a big heart. He is very affectionate and loving. He prefers to be the only cat in the house. Yukon is playful and he loves eating his cat treats (in a limited quantity, as he is watching his weight). Yukon likes to be petted and is a great cat.

Marie is an independent lady who kind of chooses who she is going to like. She is a very smart cat and likes being petted. Marie is diabetic and is on a special diet. She does not need insulin. Marie is OK with some cats, but may do best as the only cat. We all love Marie - she has a very unique and special personality.

10 Year Old Female, DMH

Caliope is a very shy girl who takes some time to warm up to a person. When she decides she is ready to trust, she is very affectionate and loves being petted. Caliope gets along well with other cats and tends to do her own thing. She is an indoor only girl.



2 Year Old Female. DMH

Daphne came to the shelter with Caliope and is very shy. She likes to keep to herself, although she does not mind other cats. It takes Daphne some time to warm up to people. She enjoys being petted and eating her special kitty treats. Daphne is an indoor only girl.

Chancellor is a very charismatic boy. He loves people and is OK with other cats. Chancellor likes to hang out with the staff during the day. He is very playful and loves attention. Picking him up and petting him is something he loves. Chancellor is known to get into some mild trouble at times because of his curiosity! Chancellor is a very good cat and is used to being indoors.

2 Year Old Male, DSH

Junior came to the shelter a bit "roughed up," but with a little TLC he was back to his mischievous self! Junior loves to play and stalk invisible enemies. He loves to be scratched and petted. Junior is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and needs to be an indoor only cat. He is happy and healthy, good with children, and LOVES to play.

Cymbol is a very feisty girl. She is full of energy and loves running full blast through the shelter! Cymbol was abandoned at the shelter pregnant, and very fearful. She has made progress, but can still be shy at times. Cymbol likes attention on her own terms, and tends to give a little love nip as a sign that she has had enough, so older, calm children would be best for her. She is not a big fan of other cats. Very calm dogs are OK, as long as they keep their distance. Cymbol may enjoy a home that has a barn - she loves to explore and would probably be a good mouser too!

Color: Deep Gray

Cissy is a very affectionate and loving cat. She loves being petted, held and hugged. Cissy is OK with other cats and likes to chit chat with you. She is strictly indoor only as she has only one eye. If she lives with other cats, they too need to be indoor also, in order to prevent transferring infections to her eye. Cissy came into the shelter with her long time buddy, Celena, who will be on the website soon. It would be great if they could go home together.

Zack is a very sweet cat who takes time to warm up to people. He is very shy, but not aggressive at all. Zack loves to play and he can hear a kitty treat bag open from miles away! Zack is very good with other cats and would do best with older, calm children. Zack is an indoor only cat. He came to the shelter with his sister, Autumn and would love to go home with her.

Autumn is a beautiful girl who likes people and other cats too. She can be shy initially, but once she spends some time with a person, she loves to be petted. Autumn is very playful and curious. She came to the shelter with her brother, Zack and would love to go home with him. She would do best with calm children and is indoor only.

10 Year Old Female, DSH

Angel is exactly what her name says. She is affectionate, sweet, gentle and just perfect. Angel is OK with other cats and would be great with calm children. She enjoys snacking on her kitty treats and taking long naps in her soft bed. Angle is an indoor only girl and likes sitting by a window and watching the world go by.

Mabel is a laid back girl who would prefer a home with no other pets. She is a cuddle bug and loves affection. Mabel is gentle and would do best with calm children. Nora is a very sweet girl. She was found outside on a very cold night, extremely thin and near death. A caring lady was able to get her to our vet, and against the odds, Nora pulled through. She is very healthy and happy now. Nora loves attention and is very affectionate. She loves being petted and sitting in laps. Nora would do best as the only cat in the house, as she wants all the attention to herself! Nora is strictly indoor only - she came to us declawed.

Pepsi is a shy girl who takes time to warm up to people. Pepsi is affectionate and friendly once she gets to know you. She enjoys being petted and would do best in a calm environment. Pepsi is OK with most other cats, especially male cats. She has always been an indoor only cat.

George is a very sweet boy. He came to us extremely shy and fearful. George has come a long way and has developed trust in the staff. He loves being petted and looks forward to his special kitty treats each night. George will need a quiet and patient home. It may take some time for him to adjust to a new home. Very calm dogs and children over the age of 10 would be OK for George. He was hit by a car before he was brought to the shelter and is now an indoor only cat.
