Pet of the Day: Negan!
Negan is a sweetheart of a dog who is looking for his perfect forever home! Negan was found as a stray in Mohawk State Park, however we don't think he was a stray for very long, as he was in great condition. Negan came to us housebroken, knowing how to sit, shake, and lie down, so he was probably someone's pet who decided they no longer wanted.
Negan acts like a big ol' puppy and is very energetic and playful. He loves to go for walks or runs with the volunteers or staff at the Guild, and also enjoys playing fetch in one of our play yards. Once he has burned off a little bit of his puppy energy, Negan settles down and would be so happy with a couch or dog bed to snuggle down on by your side. Negan has done well with the dogs he has met, but he is a big boy and does get very excited and playful around other dogs, so we would recommend he go to a home with medium or large playful dogs. Negan has done so well here at the shelter, despite being very scared and confused when he first came to us (and who can blame him when his previous human obviously just dumped him in the woods!?). Due to his size and general exuberance for life, we are recommending that Negan go to a home that is experienced with larger dogs. Negan is a staff favorite here at the Guild, but would love a home to call his own!

Pet of the Day: Ellen
Ellen is a sweet senior kitty who is looking for her perfect retirement home! Ellen is an affectionate and loving cat. She would do well in most homes, as long as she had a quiet area to curl up in. Ellen does well with other cats and even dogs, as long as they are sweet to her.
At 11-years-young Ellen isn't in her twilight years yet, and she keeps telling us that 11 is the new 6! So if you are looking for a sweet and affectionate cat to snuggle on your lap, Ellen is your girl!

Pet of the Day: COCO!
Coco is living in a foster home and here is what her foster momma has to say about her:
Sweet Coco is looking for her forever home! She is about 1.5 years old and 40 lbs of pure mush.
Coco LOVES other dogs especially her foster sister Wren, so she would do very well in a home with another dog. Coco had a rough start to life, living on the streets down South where she probably never had a kind gesture from a human. Despite that, Coco is as sweet and gentile as can be! She has come a long way in foster care, loves meeting new people (and dogs - duh!) and sitting for treats. She is house broken and does well on the leash. She hasn't lived with cats but I would imagine she would be fine with them. She's a true lover!
Coco is a bit shy at first, but give her a little time and she warms right up! She is my shadow and just wants to be part of the family.
Coco is a celebrity at our local dog park. Everybody loves her and is so amazed and proud of how far she has come and how sweet she is. Coco even enjoys her time in New York City where she has gotten used to the traffic and noise. She loves playing in Central Park (off leash!) in the mornings and sits for me when she knows it's time to go home.
Any family would be lucky to have her!

Pet of the Day: Wilton!
Wilton is a neutered male tabby who is looking for a family to call his own! If you are looking for a sweet and snuggly cat, look no further than this handsome boy. Wilton is an affectionate cat who loves being around people and having his ears scratched. Because his former human "slightly" over estimated his food-needs the LG staff has told Wilton that he needs to lose a few pounds, but Wilton thinks if there is more of him to love, it will attract the purr-fect family! So he's holding off starting his 2017 New Years Resolution of diet and exercise until they come and scoop him up. Wilton has a laid back nature that would do just fine as an only pet, or in a home with cats or dogs. Come save Wilton from his anti-hunger strike and fill out an adoption application at littleguild.org, he promises you won't regret it! ... See MoreSee Less

Pet of the Day: Zeke!
Zeke is a 8-years-young Bull Terrier who is looking for his forever family! Zeke was abandoned at a New York City shelter when he was 8 years old by his family who decided they didn't want him any more. But Zeke has managed to keep his happy-go-lucky smile in place, no matter what!
Zeke is an active and goofy boy who loves to play, and if you throw a tennis ball for him you will instantly become his best friend in the world! Zeke walks great on a leash, and he often enjoys walking with our volunteers. After tennis balls, Zeke's next favorite thing is finding the biggest stick he can to take on walks. You can't help but smile when you see this cute boy trotting down the road on his stubby Bull Terrier legs, tail high in the air and wagging away, big dopey grin on his face, and a giant tree-sized stick in his mouth!
After playing in the yard or going for a walk, Zeke knows how to settle down once inside. He would be happy curling up at your feet with a chew toy, or snuggled down next to you for a nap! Zeke is a healthy boy- heartworm negative, current on all his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped!
You can fill out an application for Zeke at LittleGuild.org or email email@example.com with any questions! ... See MoreSee Less
Sue DeeganPlease everyone share Zeke, he's got 3 strikes against him - he's black, a bully breed and he's older (which I don't get, those are all my favorite qualities). Gorgeous dog!!!2 weeks ago · 1
