The Little Guild finds home for several hundred cats and dogs every year. Providing proper care for animals is expensive and without your help, it wouldn’t be possible. As a registered non-profit organization, donations are the way we are able to provide for the shelter costs and care of the pets. The Little Guild is a local leader in the areas of rescue, adoption and welfare, and your tax-deductible donation will make a life-changing difference for our dogs and cats. Medical exams, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and food are just some of the ways that donations are used every single day.

Planned Giving Pledge

“Planned giving” is a term commonly used to describe a wide variety of giving vehicles that allow you to give to charity during your lifetime and/or after your death, while meeting your current income needs and providing for your heirs. Planned giving is typically done in conjunction with estate planning, and is a viable option for donors of all income levels.

From a donor’s perspective, planned giving is attractive for many reasons. It may allow you to make larger gifts than you otherwise could out of your current assets. Depending on how a planned gift is set up, it may also let you receive a stream of income for life, earn higher investment yield, or reduce your capital gains or estate taxes. Planned gifts often appeal to people who want to benefit a charitable organization but aren’t certain how much of their assets they’ll need for themselves during their lifetimes.

Q. How does my monthly pledge help more than my regular contribution?
A. We can depend on your monthly gifts! When we receive your donation every month, we’ll know we have enough money to provide food, medicine, veterinary care and shelter for our animal friends.

Q. How does the pledge program work?
A. We’ll send you a monthly statement that shows the amount you have pledged. Just send a check with the return form in the envelope we will provide.

Q. How much should I pledge?
A. We suggest a pledge which will allow you to feel you are doing your part.

Q. Can I make my contribution larger than usual once in a while?
A. Sure! You can make an extra gift at any time that will be credited to you. We’ll be very grateful and so will the animals.

Q. What happens if I have to cancel my pledge?
A. You can cancel your pledge at any time. If your situation changes, you can reduce or increase the amount of your pledge.

Q. Do you offer a accept a donation matching program?
A. Yes! Many companies offer a matching gift program that doubles the value of your gift to The Little Guild. Please ask your Human Resources representative for a form, complete it, and send it along with your gift today.

Q. Are donations tax-deductible?
A. Donations are tax-deductible under section 501 (c)(3) of IRS code. Notification of your donation will be e-mailed to you.
